I searched the web and contacted Australian mobility aids companies trying to find an 'off road' rollator for my husband to use in around the house paddock on the farm. While he has a quad bike, ute and tractor for getting around, the farm, he'd had to rely on his walking stick in the garden and sheds as an indoor 'rollator' just wouldn't make it. I bought it as a surprise for him and he was very happy to test it out with excellent results, it is given him more freedom to get around. As for the shipping, well that was just amazing as I watched it travel from Sweden to Australia and also arrived 2 days before the due date!. Well done Trionic,
The Veloped enables me to walk without thinking about it despite my disability. I go over rough ground, up kerbs and in and out of shops with ease. The company was efficient, helpful, and friendly to deal with. The product is so beautifully designed that even I had no problem putting it together, or taking off the wheels to transport it.
Since buying my veloped I have been able to walk around my village and walk to my freinds again. By taking off both front and back wheels it even fits into my sports car so I can take it out for days out. It has given me a new lease of life. I only wish I 'd had it during the summer months when the weather was warmer.
Buying the Trionic Veloped has been my best purchase since I lost full use of my legs in May 2012. Since then, the movement in my legs has been slowly returning, and I've been using various walkers to assist me whilst I learn how to walk again. Before May 2012 I was an avid walker, hills, mountains, beaches etc and I am determined to get back to doing those walks again. I started attempts at hill walking about 3 months ago and I was using my Rollator, which, whilst it helped me get back to walking hills it was very difficult to manoeuvre around and my husband also had to be on hand to help hold it down whilst I went over rough ground or up steep inclines. I decided I really needed an off-road type walker and searched the internet and found the Trionic Veloped site. Well what can I say?? I contacted the company and spoke with Stefan. Stefan is extremely helpful and a genuinely nice guy. This gave me the confidence to go ahead and purchase the Sport Veloped from them. It took only 3 working days to get to me!!! 3!!! Amazing! and when it arrived I fell in love. It is so cool to look at (I'm only 38 and my little rollator doesn't quite give me the street cred that I still need, LOL) and to use, well, the freedom and independence it gives me has been life changing. It has helped to improve my walking by enabling me to walk further over rough ground, up and down hills, through mud, up curbs; you name it I can now do it and I can now do it on my own. I no longer have to worry that my walker might tip over. It even helps walking with the correct posture! The seat moves forward out of the way of your legs so you can walk more upright. I could go on and on, but I won't, all I can say is, don't hesitate in purchasing a Trionic Veloped. Fantastic service, before and after purchase and New Wheels, New Life!!!
Trionic Veloped works well when you are walking along pavements, when it is snowy, dry or wet. It's also a very good walking aid to be used in the forest when you are walking along paths or even in more difficult conditions. If you decide to buy Trionic Veloped you won't waste your money :)
This is an excellent product . Once you have got over the price,! There is not another like it on the market. The pneumatic tyres make a huge difference especially on rough or non existent roads . It's actually worth it. The brakes are not the best the designers could learn something from the many others who are using who are using the loop design of brakes with a different mechanism for locking. All in all an excellent product .
There is more than just steel in a Trionic Veloped. It has a unique design, quality material and excellent solid construction. There was a lot of thought that went into this walker. It is literally silent when walking, you can push it with no effort, and it just glides along with you as though it was self propelled. No lifting to go over bumps and curbs. For extra safety, it's design allows you walk "inside" with the seat slid back and provides me with confidence that I would not fall or trip. Many other little things like the tires don't pick up rocks which would normally have to be removed before entering your home. I have never been more pleased over a product!
My wife recently acquired a Veloped and is pleased with it . It is well designed and made and very effective when use on a an unpaved surface for us it allowed us to enjoy a daily walk along a beach as it coped well with soft sand and with a pebble strewn beach. It fits comfortably into the boot of our car and is easy to lift in and out. Its only failure today is to go through the checkouts at our local supermarket a small failure that is easily overcome. Yours sincerely, Frank Ferris,
We decided to buy the Veloped because my husband has developed problems with his balance.Previously he was very active, walking in the hills, etc, and was having difficulty coming to terms with the restrictions imposed upon his lifestyle. It seemed as if the Veloped would be the ideal solution. The whole process ,from enquiry through to order and delivery, was of the highest standard ,with the personal touch from Stefan, both online and by phone (at his expense) being very reassuring. The Veloped has now been used for many outings,on roads, tracks and even on the beach where it coped well with the sand. It has undoubtedly proved to be an excellent buy and has given my husband back his self confidence and independence.
My wife struggles with PLS. The more she walks the better she does, but our long winters here in rural Atlantic Canada really set her back. Now that we have the Trionic Veloped we are looking forward to her walking our local trails in a safe and stable manner even in slippery winter conditions.
We own three other rollators, and two of them advertise that they are suitable for outdoors. Well, perhaps if "outdoors" means a perfectly smooth sidewalk and no curbs, then they are "suitable." In truth only the Trionic Veloped is suitable for use on lawns, trails, and other outdoor areas. Don't waste your time and money on inferior equipment.
Since we don't have a Trionic Veloped distributor here in Canada, I suggest that Canadians contact Stefan Kindberg directly. He handled our order personally, and we are very satisfied with the service we received.
To good to be true? Not at all. The service from Trionic has been second to non throughout the process from asking questions, choosing the model, ordering, delivery and a phone call to say it was on its way, as well as the helpful tips even after via email. Best customer service I have every received. I needed something very multi purpose to help me carry on living my life as I always had and even with the ever progressing, ever changing disease of multiple sclerosis this brilliant engineering masterpiece fits the bill. When my balance is at its worst, I feel confident that I have the support to 'keep on pushing'. When my fingers won't work, the easy push button wheels are easy to get on or off or to change from city to off road rough terrain. The seat is perfect for taking a break or even just for sitting in the garden after pulling out some weeds. Loading up a wet basket of washing to take to hang out on the line means not only do I have a means of transporting it outside, I also have the bar to help my balance when hanging it out. I now do not have to struggle with walking poles, carrying a bag, my dog leads, balls, dog poo bags, spare gloves or any of the other things I used to struggle with just to take my dogs to the fields. In fact I now wish I played golf, so I could show off by looking very smart on the golf course! If you lead an active outdoor life but need some support, I would recommend this product without a blink of the eye.
The Veloped is, quite simply, an exceptional and superlative piece of equipment, perfectly designed in every respect, to enable people with ambulatory limitations to walk or hike in the outdoors.
Prior to becoming afflicted with gradually advancing Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis, I was an avid Day Hiker, happily pursuing the many Southern California wilderness trails in my area.
By 2007, I was forced to give up Hiking; I could no longer carry a Day Pack and eventually, a few years later, was unable to walk easily for longer distances without assistance. I despaired of ever Hiking again.
When, earlier this year, I began regular treatments with a home Far Infared Sauna and began, thus, to experience a significant reduction in pain levels, I started longing to be able to Hike again. But how?
I needed a walking device that could traverse “off road” paths and there was no such device available anywhere that I could find.
Until I found the Veloped during an Internet search. Since purchasing it a little over a month ago, I have been Hiking again—on dirt trails, across grassy areas, gravel, sand and of course, urban concrete.
I have put the ‘Ped through rigorous testing off-road. It carries my Day Pack, which loaded down with sufficient water weighs more than 20 pounds. Even on rutted, uneven trails, there is little frame flex from the weight and the steering issues.
The Veloped has knobby, inflatable tires. These seem to hold up very well. I do recommend buying a good floor pump for occasional shots of air.
The Veloped has a remarkable front wheel configuration that allows the user to change between two front wheels being on the ground (more stable for off-road) or just one (more maneuverable in tight urban settings). The mechanism works with the flip of a readily accessible lever, easily operated by anyone. I do recommend somewhat ignoring the lever label indicating “city” or “country” and simply using whatever setting feels best depending on the terrain or circumstances. I have used both configurations in both “city” and off-road settings with excellent results.
The Veloped is amazingly “user friendly.” Both rear wheels and the front wheel assembly release with the simple push of a button and install again with the same ease. This makes stowing the Veloped in a car trunk a fast, easy endeavor.
Also, for stowing, the seat stay on the ‘Ped telescopes inward with the simple depression of a button. This feature is handy not only for loading in a trunk, but also for navigating tight spaces; you can actually push the Veloped while it is telescoped inward, if the tires are on it. Thus, pushing it down a narrow hallway, for example, or through a tight turn into a narrow door is simply done by collapsing the seat stay.
The stability and balance if the ‘Ped are exceptional. I have taken it onto some fairly steep trails for short distances and it navigates them with ease. Unlike a conventional “walker” the Veloped is extremely solid. The frame geometry is ideal for off-road use; the rails are very thick and designed in such a way as to keep the center of gravity low, nearer the ground. The extra forward-read length adds to the stability as well.
The brakes are truly “technical” brakes, meaning they will perform flawlessly under even adverse conditions on the trail (such as a steep slope with little traction).
Obviously, the possible uses of the Veloped will be limited by the limitations, impairments of and restrictions imposed on the user. Not everyone will be able to Hike on difficult terrain. Everyone with arthritis should consult their physician before engaging on real “off road” trail work.
However, EVERYONE with any sort of physical impairment who is ambulatory can benefit from AND utterly love using the Veloped----anywhere!!
Around town, the ‘Ped is just as exceptional. It climbs short curbs quite easily, even with my heavy Day Pack in the basket. On a recent visit to a State Park, I pushed the ‘Ped up a series of broad steps terraced with railroad ties. The ‘Ped went right along without any problem.
With the front wheel configuration in the “raised” position, it is easy to navigate in small spaces commonly encountered on city streets or in buildings such as supermarkets or medical clinics. I do prefer the “both wheels down” configuration whether on the sidewalk or off-road if I am not going to be doing a lot of steering. While steering in the “down” configuration may, at first seem somewhat balky, there is a technique to it—simply apply pressure on the handle-bar opposite of where you are trying to go, and the ‘Ped slowly moves around.
Speaking of the handlebars, the ‘Ped has a quick-release mechanism for raising and lowering the height instantly. A smoothly operating quick-release lever on each side permits not only instant changes, but small, incremental adjustments. This feature is extremely helpful when off-road terrain changes (i.e. from uphill to downhill), or when arms or legs become fatigued and need a change of position.
There are various models of Veloped available. The basic equipment is the same in all models—what changes are some of the features available. For example, my model, the “Tour” model has a larger, wider, more sturdy seat which is just perfect for rests along the trail, or for any other time when sitting is desired. However, all of the models are equal in terms of function (on or off road) and frame geometry.
As for customer service—it is superb!! Before I bought theVeloped, I had along talk with the U.S. Representative, Oshin Mahmoodi. Oshin was so extremely helpful in describing the function and features of the Veloped.
And since my purchase, Oshin has been “there” every step of the way when I had a question, or just wanted to share my enthusiasm with him.
This is a product of outstanding, exceptional quality. When you consider everything this amazing device can do to change a life, and when you consider the exceptional quality of it, and the outstanding customer service, the price is MORE than worth it.
I am so enthusiastic about the Veloped, that I hope to be able to promote its use in the area of Handicapped Hiking (nor for any remuneration from Trionic, but simply as a labor of love). There is no reason why someone with ambulatory problems can’t be out in the wilderness for Day Hiking or even overnight Backpack camping, thanks to the ‘Ped, or just be able to enjoy a delightful walk in the park
There is nothing else like the Veloped in the world, anywhere. I encourage anyone with physical impairment to purchase it and to thus start enjoying the world and life, again. I am also Visually Impaired, and I find the Veloped very helpful, easy to use and reassuring.
As far as I am concerned, the cost of this product is simply the most worthwhile expense I have ever put out for anything. It will last for years, and more importantly, it will change you life. The value of the Veloped to my life is incalculable; I would pay 10 times what it cost, knowing what I now do about its superb qualities and its effect upon my life.
What a difference!! I am so pleased I found the Trionic Veloped online! We used o have an 'english' rollator, which is a boneshaker if used outside on uneven ground or un-made-up road. The Veloped just tackles all this and even more. The pneumatic tyres, hub brakes and the option to have one-handed brake, all add to comfort and ability. Customer service is excellent - thank you Stefan!! Only can recommend!

We bought the Veloped for my 86 year old mum. She has always been quite active and was able to get out and loved walking into town. But recently I noticed that she was stooping a lot, getting out of breath and taking very small steps, almost shuffling. She was also starting to lose her balance at times and going down hills she would speed up and found it hard to stop. It became obvious that she was going to have to stop going out for walks into town as she was becoming unsafe. So I started to look for a walking aid but saw that most on the market were too flimsy, could easily tip over and were only safe to use on flat smooth surfaces. My mother needed something that could help her walk down/up hills with uneven pavements, curbs and cobbled streets. The veloped is sturdy, wont tip over and she can carry her shopping in the basket. Plus when she is tired she can just stop and have a sit down. Now she has more confidence, walks more upright, doesnt shuffle, walks at a more normal speed. She doesnt get out of breath and her backache from stooping all the time while out walking has gone. All this means that she can carry on being independent and get out and about and get exercise, otherwise she was going to be trapped in her house.

Fick träningsvärk i höfterna ibörjan.
Ho fatto proprio bene a ordinare Veloped!. Grazie Veloped!
