Ddin't deliver as promissed

First part of the service went quickly as well as deducting the money from my account.
However when it came to the reality check if they indeed did deliver it unlock failed.
I made a nice long message to them stating that I followed their directions several times and on several different computers with no luck. All I got back was
'RESTORE THE PHONE IN ITUNES WITH A NON NETCOM SIM INSTALLED'
Now I never use caps - caps = yelling!
And I had already stated that I had tried this countless times.
Secondly I get asked if it has been jailbroken which it hasn't been to our knowledge. All we know is that it was brand new in the box when we received it.
No answer to that after 8 days.

The issue is your phone is not form the network you purchased for , it is from a different network , see apple database report below, the support team have emailed you this so please reply to them

Waiting is lot more than 5 Days

They promised to unluck in 5 days, I paid for it on May 02 , but so far nothing, and guess what unlocking for EE is not available anymore.

Once good, once lousy....

I've used these guys twice, or tried to anyway. The first time was on a 3GS locked to O2 that I got as a gift...the unlock was a little slow, but still within the specified time...worked great. The second was trying to unlock and old iPhone 2 from AT&T in the states. This SHOULD have been easy, quick and cheap, but thanks to their rubbish payment system it was none of the above. Their system requires that your card is cleared thru either VISA or MasterCard, not at all helpful if you pay with AMEX: they take the card and the money but won't unlock the phone until you jump through some set of ridiculous hoops which takes days, or weeks, to get all the required proof that you are who you say, and all for 10 quid?!?!! I went to another company in the US and got it done in HOURS, not days. IMHO use them if you must, but don't expect them to be helpful or fast.

Looking at your IMEI this was sent on the 13th ,as soon as you validated your order, and was confirmed to you as unlocked the same day roughly 6 hours later

Have been trying to find way to unlock my phone for a long time. As mentioned, the time taken for my network was spot on! I would only use Official iPhone Unlock for any more unlocks on iOS in future. As this was my first unlock with them, I didn't even have time to worry about this process.

Well, the job for what i paid was done. The customer service was a little poor but the unlocked was efectively done and for me thats a good job. One thing is that they could give more information during the unlock to keep up low anxiety in the customers.

It took 40 business days for my iphone 4s to be unlocked.

My phone calls and emails went unanswered until I posted a review on TrustPilot. Then, within 2 hours, I finally got an email from officialiphoneunlock.co.uk that said:

"Did you receive our email saying we could unlock your device but needed an extra £15 as Verizon have increased the cost of accessing their whitelisting server."

There was no email and no customer service response until I posted a review on Trustpilot.

When I asked to have the additional fee waived, they reported my review to TrustPilot for lack of proof of purchase!

Totally unacceptable behavior in my opinion.

Finally, after more negotiating with customer service, they agreed to unlock my phone and deliver the service they promised.

Unfortunately, I had to wait an extremely long time and go through a lot of stress to get this accomplished.

I appreciate the fact that officialiphoneunlock.co.uk finally delivered the service that I paid for. Unfortunately, it was not a positive customer experience.

Your original unlock purchase for Verizon was cancelled by the network which is when we emailed you , within a week a new service for that network had started which again you were emailed about, your IMEI was then sent and unlocked within 3 days.

Worked for me!

The process for me took close to thirteen working days so its not particularly fast, this was an Iphone unlock from three UK and I'm led to believe that this is often the case when unlocking a three handset. Once the email arrived the phone was connected to iTunes and all is now good! I would have appreciated being kept informed about the delay but no such communication took place but otherwise I'm very pleased.

Do not believe the waiting times - my disappointing experience below

Here is a message I sent to the team which shows my experience;

'Hi, Im a PA and was asked to unlock my bosses phone. Why was I quoted 24 hours and we are now heading into day 5. This is making me look inefficient and incapable. Can you please tell me how long this will actually take as I cannot keep saying to my boss 'we just have to wait for the email' - this is ridiculous - if this was the case it should've been stated before I made my purchase. Instead it said if the phone is stolen or barred it will be delayed - it is neither of these things. Could you either give me a definitive time frame or issue a refund. This is not what I paid for.'

To which I got the reply;

'Please note all times provided on our website are for guidelines only as they are dependent on the network and suppliers'

Why are you giving such ridiculous estimations if you know you cannot fulfil them. Surely if you are processing that many unlocks you would have a better understanding of timeframes. I would rather have been given a longer waiting time and been pleasantly surprised not the other way around.

I feel misled and disappointed (and I never leave negative reviews).

**Update - MONDAY 20TH MAY 2013 - STILL WAITING FOR UNLOCK 10 DAYS AFTER BEING QUOTED 24 HOURS**

After posting this review I received the following response (slightly different to the one posted on here)

"As your IMEI is still in process we would advise you remove the review you have left to avoid any further delays"

Perhaps this is why it is taking so long...

i used their service for unlocking my iphone uk o2 which was barred.i already tried many other services to unlock my iphone but was unable,but,it proved successful
a warm thanx to officialiphone unlocking team for providing best service,
and according to prices,its prices are cheaper than iunlockstore(the website owned by apple for unlocking iphones)
and one thing that the customers require is only patience because the service may take more time than the time shown to unlock iphone,(depends upon workload)
the service shown me 24 hrs to unlock my iphone but took 6 days(but thats totallly alryte becoz my iphone's imei was barred,not normal)

Well it took a week for me, the initial price was £19,99 but afterall the final price was £ 89,99. The phon is unloked nowand working properly. Recomennd the service!
