i bought an engagement ring by selecting my diamond then setting. The setting I first chose was a special order due to a heart shaped diamond. Since that would have meant that the ring could not be returned, only exchanged, Anthony suggested a setting half the price saying it would showcase the diamond better. The diamond I chose and the setting look great yet simple. Wanting to make sure I got the diamond I had picked I went to a gemologist who was able to read the laser inscription and cross reference it to the GIA report. The diamond is brilliant, the ring is great and I will be considering brilliance for a wedding band. The one thing I will mention that caused some stress was that the order was placed on th 5th of February. The proposal was planned on the 27th. I asked the ring be delivered at the latest the 26th. It was delivered on the 26th but customs fees (taxes=HST) had to be paid before Fedex would release for pickup or delivery. Paperwork and bureaucracy meant I had to pick up the ring while she was at the spa ON the 27th. My advice to the buyer is give yourself a few days more than I did. My comment to brilliance is if possible try to send earlier than later.
I worked closely with one of Brilliance's representatives to design a custom engagement ring for my fiance in October, 2013.
We're both very pleased with how the ring turned out! It was exactly as the renderings depicted; just beautiful. I was hesitant to work with an online company, but I wasn't able to find very many poor reviews, and now I know why.
I did have to send the ring back to get it resized; it was actually a quarter size different than what I ordered, by Brilliance's own admission, however I ordered a slightly wrong size anyway. But because it wasn't what I ordered, the resize was free. All I had to pay was shipping, which is still cheaper than getting it resized at jewelry stores.
Overall, I'm very happy with Brilliance, and if I had to go back and do it all again, I'd choose them again.
I purchased an engagement ring for my fiance from Brilliance back in October 2013. They were able to find me the exact setting I was looking for (even though it wasn't listed on their website, and were extremely helpful in reviewing all of the diamonds with me before I made my selection! I would recommend them highly to anyone getting engaged!!!
I love the selection offered on this site. They also provide a lot of information about diamonds - I learned a lot! The customer service has been great any time that I have dealt with them. Love this site.
We had been working with Vonny a few weeks and she was so honest and helped us pick out the perfect diamond. When it arrived it was just as she described it. We will purchase from Brilliance again. All customer service reps we have talked to are so helpful and king.
I was skeptical buying a diamond online. But after months and months of research and doing my homework I found nothing but good reviews for Brilliance and since their prices were unbeatable I decided to give it a try. This was the best decision I could have made. I talked to Anthony almost on a daily basis and he went above and beyond expectations, I ended up custom making the perfect ring for almost half the price it would have cost anywhere else. Anthony was very helpful and gave me his input and opinions but wasn't pushy at all. He was very easy to work with. By far the best customer service I came across. The whole process was easy and fast. I will definitely be buying diamonds in the future from Brilliance and no one else.
I shopped around at four other jewelry stores before I discovered Brilliance. Three were physical locations and one was an online jewelry store. None of them could come close to touching the deal that I got at Brilliance. There is no sales tax (which in Colorado is 8%) and there are no markups that you pay for having a physical location, sales associates, etc. When I got my ring appraised I found out it was worth much more than I paid for it! I tell all of my friends to buy from Brilliance. I have the biggest diamond of all of my friends and I constantly get compliments! I could not have made a better decision. There is no way we could have afforded this ring anywhere else.
Found Brilliance while shopping for an engagement ring. Their prices were by far the best of any online site, and of course were significantly cheaper than any typical jewelry store. The ordering process was easy and simple, and Anthony was a fantastic customer service rep. He took the time to call and follow up with me, provide some much needed advice about which diamond I was selecting, and sent me actual pictures of diamonds so that I could make a more informed decision. I was very happy with the overall experience, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a diamond.
I didn't buy diamonds, but it was still a scary experience paying so much money for something online. The customer service was far beyond my expectations, though, putting me at ease. They called to tell me when it was being shipped, so I would know to expect it. Once it arrived, it was beautiful, but the wrong size! My fault! I called immediately and was reassured that they would resize it for free. I took it to a local jeweler and got my finger sized, then shipped it back to Brilliance with a note stating the new size. The resize wasn't as fast as the original purchase, but I was kept informed the whole time. Now I have my beautiful wedding ring!!
Brilliance is an excellent place to buy a perfect engagement ring! I've had the pleasure of working with Juliana, and she was amazing. Juliana went out of her way to help me design the perfect ring. Beginning with the selection of the diamond, Juliana made sure I was getting a great stone for a great price. After the selection of the diamond, I had to trouble her with helping me design the setting. Not only was Juliana helpful, she was kind and patient in every step of the way. I am proposing in March to the love of my life...and I couldn't have done it without Juliana and Brilliance.
I was a little nervous about spending so much money at an online store, and especially of choosing a diamond without actually seeing it "in person" first, but Anthony allayed my fears and found me the perfect 1.75 carat diamond, and then the most beautiful new setting in which to mount it. What I especially appreciate is that I was ready to place my order for a slightly smaller stone that was actually at a bit higher price, and then Anthony found an even larger one, with better characteristics, for slightly less.
I would definitely recommend Brilliance.com. Not just because their prices are so good, but because they offer patient and knowledgeable customer service. Now I'm planning my next purchase from Brilliance.com! :-)
Since day 1 (hour 1) I contacted them after placing my order to arrange the payment and every single email and call were replied to me within minutes but the best of all: solving my doubts and providing me the answers I needed. I had an issue with the payment made via Bank Transfer but immediately they offered me another option which I successfully completed. Even when tracking the shipment of my order, they provided me the status and recommendations to be completed as soon as possible. It was a great experience and would like to thank their Orders Manager: Juliana for the fantastic job that she does. For the product: the ring is just amazing, much more that I was expecting! Totally worth it. I'd recommend Brilliance to all my family and friends.
I initially gave this company a 1 star review for a bad initial experience (see below), BUT I am changing my review to 4.5 stars (just can't give a full 5 because of the initial experience). Once I expressed my dissatisfaction, they really put forth a lot of effort and have made things right. The owner, Jonathon Ohayon really does care about his customers, and he personally called and worked with me every step of the way after the initial problems were brought to his attention. I am very impressed by this, and we are considering using Brilliance again for our wedding rings.
[THE OLD REVIEW] Very nice and promised all sorts of things up front, but once they received my money the customer service just stopped! I called to check on the status of the ring on a Thursday and Anthony Cappola promised to call me back with info. No response by friday evening. I called and spoke with another woman asking for an update on the ststus of the ring on friday. She did not know but promised to call me within 30minutes. Nope! Not so much! I received NO response whatsoever thru Monday evening.. So I called back and after another hour, finally got a call from Anthony.. Only problem is that i was told some story about the diamond not even being delivered to them. The ring was suppose to be in my hands by Wednesday! Proposal plans COMPLETELY shot. (we discussed all this upfront before I sent money - and Anthony personally said he could make this happen)..
Honestly, if they had just let me know what was going on, or just shot me a short email saying "sorry, we are working on it", I would have probably been okay with all this.. I'm not unreasonable and things can happen. I just was disappointed with the utter lack of customer service and complete disregard/disrespect for my concerns.
It was a lot of money - going to someone on the other side of the country that I had never met. The reviews were good, the promises were good, the thought of buying something this special and expensive was nerveracking!!!
It was delivered as promised, it was exactly as described, and my jeweler confirmed every last bit of the promise made by Brilliance. It was reviewed and appraised by an expert jeweler and matched up 100% to what was promised.
I hope to never be in the position of buying an engagement diamond again, but if it happened - it would be with Brilliance.
I ordered a pair of diamond stud earrings and they are absolutely beautiful. Only minor thing was I had to wait a few days longer then they promised but I would buy another jewelry from them again. I researched lots different sites and Brilliance has one of the lowest price on diamond jewelry.
Brilliance web-site educated difference in diamond for example, size, shapes, colors, cut, and certifications. " Diamond teaching for dummies" The customer service Rating is A+. My experience with Brilliance exceptional all of my future purchase of jewelry belong to Brilliance.com.
So this is the first online review for me I strongly dislike doing reviews and surveys but brilliance.com deserves it! I got my Fiancée (she said YES!) her engagement ring with brilliance.com they actually gave me the designer ring I wanted for a fraction of the cost...like less then half the amount I was going to pay at my locate retail store. I know what you are thinking, what's the catch? To be honest I'm still waiting to find out haha I was soooo paranoid about buying my diamond online everything always sounds too good to be true....not with brilliance. I received wonderful customer service, the women I spoke to gave me great advice and helped me choose a beautiful diamond! When I received the diamond ring I wrote brilliance and told them I would not be 100% satisfied with my purchase until I had the diamond looked at by a third party to check if the diamond matched the GIA certificate. They responded with support and told me it is a good idea if it would put my mind at ease. The diamond checkout and I was 100% satisfied, I hate getting ripped off! So to know that brilliance.com stands by what they sell and will even encourage you to get a second opinion is a great thing. I would recommend to anyone buying a diamond online or offline to make an appointment with a lab (not a jeweller) to get a second opinion. It's a small thing to budget for considering the amount of hard earned $'s you are putting into this purchase. I would never leave it with the people at the lab though; like I said when it comes to buying diamonds I am paranoid and you would be wise to be as well. I would request a simple sit down appointment just to verify the diamond matches the certificate (cost me 50$ cash probably a little steep worth it to me).
I used the custom design process, I must say I was impressed with the cad renderings they sent me. I use cad/cam software everyday and the renderings they sent me were quality work. It took about 2-3day to get my first quote request back with a price... which was VERY reasonable!! 250$ deposit to get the design process rolling (which is taken off the total at the end). Got my first renderings about 5-7day after, I was very picky and it only took me three rounds of revisions. Don't expect to hear from them everyday about the progress of your renderings this work takes time!! on average it would be between 4-6day between reversions. Casting process to shipping took exactly 3weeks for me which there was no words sent between to update you on the progress. I guess that would be my only complaint, it's a long time to wait when you are excited however I know what is involved in the work and it takes time; there really is nothing update you on anyway. However the wait is worth it to get the custom ring that your fiancée deserves. Ring size was dead on! and shipping was very fast.
Don't forget if you live outside of the USA to get a quote from customs on the duty and taxes.

PS: One more thing forget EGL diamonds they are cheep for a reason!! Getting a smaller GIA diamond for the same price is the better buy...

I was a little unsure about trying out a jewelry company online and had my worries! But, I went with the great reviews they had and I had a excellent experience with Brilliance! They made my shopping for an engagement ring EASY! Marc Minott walked me through the entire process and corresponded with me about everything. All questions were answered and very helpful from finished to end! And to see the actual finish product of my custom design and even better.
