We had rent a car for 3 weeks in Australia.
When we arrived there was a warm welcome and in a few moments everything was done for us to pick up the car.
Even an extension on the rental was no problem, and all for a reasonable price.
I would recommend Auto Europe to everyone.
Thank you and till next time
Rented through Hertz again.
They are an excellent company to deal with, no hassels, no hidden extras.
Only comment was we were given a 7 seater minivan & there were only 2 of us!
Would have preferred a compact, but there were none available.
Minivan was fine, but parking is difficult enough in the UK anyway!
This was the first time in awhile that I did not rent at an airport. The rental price was right but I was unprepared for the twenty minute plus wait to return the car. The location is not convenient to public transit and we lost the taxi we pre-booked as we had only planned for a ten minute return time. It was quite a wait for the next taxi to arrive. Other than that, the car was great.
Picking up the car at the airport was a doddle...the gentleman completing the paperwork (via a monitor of all things) was actually helpful and didn't treat me like an idiot . Good sense of humour too . The Audi A1 was an upgrade and was a real treat to drive (once I figured out the engine cuts out when stopped and restarts seamlessly) Returned the car in a rush and in heavy rain . Curious about how the inspector couldn't find a mark on the bodywork but did manage to find a slight scuff on the front offside wheel . Expensive repair but covered by extra insurance thank goodness .
We were very pleased with the quick and reliable service.
No additional charges.
If you are renting a car in Europe, you can do no better than AutoEurope, for prices, flexibility with changes or cancellations, and for service both before and during the rental period.
Easy booking. Car was ready for pick up. Prices seemed lower than booking through car rental company directly however, there is an extra fee for picking up vehicle at hotel, airport or train station?? Where else would you pick up a rental car?
Also we returned car 1 day early and could not get any money back since we "prepaid" . Next timeI think I will just rent through car company directly.
Ive used AutoEurope a lot, though this time we treated ourselves to bigger car (a big more luxury) as we had lots of luggage & extra passenger. Our reservatiion was done late, but it still came back with confirming coupon in good time. Everything promoissed was there for us at pick up point. No surprises. Thank you.
The pick up was easy, the drop off was easy and the car was exactly what was ordered. No charge for km's, drop off in a different city than pick up, all at a reasonable price. The GPS was in German, not English, but was still very helpful. It had not been updated in a while and was unaware of a few major changes in the roads so a bit diasappointed with that, bu otherwise, would not hesitate to rent here again.
Rate was excellent, but Hertz Manchester airport less so. No walkaround, no manual, no instruction of any kind (and after two weeks, no oil!). They have to realise that people coming from North America are used to different vehicles entirely. Gatwick crew were much better entirely, and reimbursed us for the oil fill.
Hello Friend, A few points of contention:
1. Your confirmation email stated it was open until 5. We phone at 10 to 1 and was told they were closing in 10 minutes. We rushed with a taxi to get there in time or we would have had to stay in Stirling until the next day. She stated they have closed at 1 for 6 years so maybe an update on your confirmations are in order.
2. I was not told a pre-bought tank of gas was not refundable when I picked up car. I paid 59 pounds for the tank in advance but only used one quarter of a tank so I filled it up for 27 pounds. After stated I was not told and that I would definitely email the head office as that is borderline fraud the manager stated I would get a refund but their machine was down so she would do it later. I asked her to sign a paper she would refund as a bit of protection (which she seemed not happy to do). I am still waiting for my refund on my credit card.
Other than that it was a great vehicle with great gas mileage and half the staff were professional. (manager excluded)
Would I rent again...dependant on my refund.
We were satisfied with our rental, the price was reasonable and the vehicle we got was new. The things that could have improved was an updated address for the pick up location, we took a cab out to the airport location and the place was not at the address stated so we had to pay extra cab fare to find the location. We had also requested an Audi wagon and we received a small compact VW which was a smaller vehicle than requested. The vehicle was brand new but the hatch reeked like marijuana which was very unpleasant for the passenger in the back. Other than that we were happy with the price and customer service was good.
All aspects of the car were excellent - the condition of the car, the performance and the speedy efficiency on picking up the car and getting on the road - will recommend the dealership, the car make and model and the efficiency at Aberdeen Airport.
My only criticism is that I have not received a final report on the return of the car - I presume there were no issues as I had to conduct an early drop off return on Sunday am - but I would have expected a final summary e mail that the car had been returned in its original condition including the full petrol tank and that there would be no further charges.
I booked this for my father who is computer illiterate. He arrived at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam and had to wait over an hour for a shuttle bus ride that was 20 minutes or so to get to Dollar Rent-a-Car. I will never book that particular company again. I prefer Hertz, Avis and Europecar, who are actually located at the airport itself. The whole ordeal delayed him by over 2 hours.
We rented a car at the Copenhagen, Denmark airport for two weeks in early October 2013 and would have no hesitation to rent from AutoEurope again. Their company reps were very friendly and helpful at the counter desk in the airport. It turned out that the first two or three vehicles that they tried to give us had been sold, so in the end we received a slightly larger vehicle for the same price - which was just fine with us. Would gladly recommend this company to other people looking to rent cars from this European location.
I have rented numerous times with AutoEurope. Once again a very efficient process. My only observation is that according to the info from AutoEurope the liability insurance is included in the price, however when I reviewed the Hertz agreement it indicated that liability insurance was declined. (Which it wasn't).
On our recent trip to England we rented a car from Europcar for three weeks. During that period we experienced a flat tire then discovered there was no spare nor a pressurized can to inflate the flat tire. We had to wait three hours for a tow truck then another two for the tire to be replaced. Europcar authorized the repair leaving us with no receipt and the impression they were covering all costs. Upon return to Canada we received a letter indicating that we were liable for the costs. Had I known this at the time, I would have pressured the garage to do a repair rather than replacement. I am not at all happy with Europcar and won't use them again.
I rented a Volkswagen Passat for 4 weeks in Scotland and it was a pleasure to drive and dealing with Auto Europe at Glasgow Airport was a very professional and pleasant and satisfying experience.
No hitches when I picked up my rental car in Bedford UK. I had ordered online about 4 weeks before from Canada. When we arrived at the agency our car was ready and we were on the road within 10 minutes. Same when we returned it! I will use them again!
.I have used Your rental cars several times without incident. The service has been very good. Not so the last time. We arrived at Gatwick and went to pickup our car at the Europcar Kiosk. Everything was fine until the rep authorized my card. Your card reader was broken so the rep had to use the phone to authorize the card. Not sure why you are swiping the card on an outdated keyboard swipe device. Haven't seen one of those in years. After using the phone to authorize the card the rep said the authorization failed. The rep gave me a customer phone and went to the next customer. I tried to call my visa card issuer (in Canada) but the rep said no international calls on that phone. I used my cell (at my expense) to contact the VISA card issuer. Visa said the card was good and the incorrect expiry date was entered. I gave my cell phone to the rep and they sorted out the problem. I then got my car and was on my way. My beef is that I was not helped to resolve the authorization problem. I had to do it myself, and it turned out to be your fault.
We reserved our Car over the Internet and were amazed over the Price the gave us. On our arrival in Rosenheim, everything was ready to go. The only big disapointment was, that we had ask for an automatic but got a manual, which we where not to familiar with. We made out O.K.even it was stressy at times. We will definable book with Auto Europe again, but make sure ,long befor, that there is an automatic waiting for us

I was concerned at first renting a car in Europe through an North American channel.
I don't know what I was worried about. The booking process experience was excellent.
It was what I had hoped for pleasant and worry free.
I would not hesitate to rent from Auto Europe again.
Vehicle was available fully serviced and preped for immediate drive away. Information on local routes in and out of service location could be more informative but overall service agents helpful and courteous.
I recently rented from Hertz a diesel automatic car for two weeks, pick up in London and drop-off in Glasgow, because Hertz offered the lowest rate .
Car was NEW and service at both ends excellent.
Will certainly consider renting from Herz for my next trip.
After a night on the plane it was very frustrating to arrive at the National Car Rental office at Heathrow and finding the office packed with customers and not all the agent counters occupied. There wasn't even enough seating for everyone and it took about 40minutes to get to see an agent.
